The Coffs Climate Action Group meets with Barnaby Joyce at the Nambucca pre-poll

Here’s some video of the Coffs Climate Action Group chatting with Barnaby Joyce when he came to Cowper yesterday.

Barnaby meets B1 and B2?

It’s clear he has no intention of doing anything about the #ClimateEmergency.

So if you want to vote to #StopAdani and for climate leadership, #PuttheNatsLast.

See our video of our chat with him here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=572404573282257

  1. Let’s hope that the majority of voters in Cowper recognize Barnaby Joyce for who he is and what he has done for this nation. It is worth remembering that he was the Minister responsible when we paid $80m for water that not yet been delivered.
But the key point is that the Murray-Darling system is being hopelessly mismanaged and is deeply politicised. And it’s not political in the usual ways of left-right, environment v farming, or even upstream v downstream politics.
Instead, it’s about the powerful and the well-connected against everyone else – communities, smaller farmers, fish, and the rest of the environment. Individuals that are well-connected are doing well while everyone else, including the environment, is not. And Barnaby was right on one point: both major parties are tarred with the same brush when it comes to cosy deals with well-connected individuals.
