With a state election coming up for NSW on 23 March, come and meet the candidates for the seat of Coffs Harbour and hear them answer questions on how they will tackle the biggest issue of our time: climate change.
Hosted by the Climate Action for NSW group this forum will be held at 7pm, on Tuesday 5 March at the Rainbow Room, C.ex Coffs.
Drinks available at the bar.
Candidates for Coffs Harbour will be there, including the Nationals’ Gurmesh Singh, Labor’s Tony Judge, the Greens’ Jonathan Cassell and independent Sally Townley.
We need you to come along to show them that our community wants climate action commitments.
If you have questions you would like to ask on:
– transitioning NSW to renewable energy;
– coal and CSG mining in NSW;
– forests and management of carbon sinks;
– climate adaptation/resilience;
– any other climate-related policy,
.please send them through to us. (See Facebook page details below)
*Note that the NSW electorate of Coffs Harbour ranges from Red Rock in the north to Sawtell-Bonville in the south and west to the Orara Valley. For those further south, we will also be hosting a separate climate forum for candidates for the seat of Oxley in Bellingen – details coming!
* We will also be hosting a Federal candidates forum for Cowper in April – details coming soon!
See you at this important forum!
