Go see Ride Like a Girl and strike a blow for pay equity

Business and Professional Women (BPW) Coffs Harbour is excited to  host an exclusive access screening of the ‘soon to be released movie Ride like a Girl in recognition of  this year’s  Equal Pay Day.

Ride like a Girl is the story of Michelle Payne, the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup and is directed by Rachel Griffiths. The movie stars Teresa Palmer as Payne with support roles from Sam Neil and Sullivan Stapleton.

Exploration of  gender equality is a global focus during September. BPW will highlight  raising awareness  of the inequalities Australian women are subjected to, particularly with regard to equality of pay and workplace. BPW encourage you to come along and bring friends to enjoy this screening.

After the movie you are invited to stay on for dinner at 63 First Ave Sawtell where Wednesday is $10 pasta night or the usual ‘build a board’ menu choices.

Please note tickets, available through Eventbrite,  are limited to 40 seats in the theatre so jump in early for places.

Reservations for dinner need to be confirmed too, through [email protected]  or #thegapmatters
