Dangerous fire conditions – conditions are getting worse
We have reports of a number of bush fires in the north coast and northern NSW areas becoming more intense – and more dangerous.
A number of fires are creating their own weather conditions and pyro-cumulous clouds are developing. These are extremely dangerous and can affect any part of the fire, even where fire activity may appear minimal.
These conditions can create strong winds which can push the fire in new directions, and blow embers over many kilometres. Lightning strikes are also possible, starting new fires.
Do not be in the path of a fire. Do not be caught on foot or in a car.
If your life is at risk, call Triple Zero.
