Coffs Harbour and Grafton property prices experienced the ninth highest growth in prices across regional Australia in April.
CoreLogic’s Home Value Index found the region’s house prices grew at a rate of 2.6 per cent during April, at a time when combined regional areas experienced a fall of 0.3 per cent.
Real Estate Institute of NSW Coffs Harbour Chairperson Chris Hines said comparatively low prices are what is attracting people to the region.
“We’re still probably the most affordable coastal region between Sydney and Brisbane,” he said.
“We know we live in a jewel of the North Coast and I suppose a lot of other people are starting to see that too.”
