Fire fighters have spent the night conducting tactical back-burns around the Bees Nest fire, which the RFS says may not be contained for weeks.
The fire has burned out almost 63,000 hectares of land and remains at Watch and Act Level.
Anthony Bradstreet from the Rural Fire Service said the terrain and strong winds mean containment remains challenging
“We’re looking at some broad containment strategies for this fire but given the size of it and the complexity of the multiple fire fronts, this is a fire that we are going to be working on for days if not weeks.”
