Barilaro says bypass EIS with tunnels coming soon

Deputy Premier John Barilaro has confirmed to the ABC that the Environmental Impact Statement for the Pacific Highway Bypass of Coffs Harbour will commit to tunnels.

Deputy Premier John Barilaro

“I know that there’s been some conversations about getting up there to release it and and recommit our commitment and the federal government commitment of the additional funding required to make sure that the project does have tunnels,” he said.

“The Coffs Harbour bypass is going to be one of the largest single projects in regional NSW that will underpin the economy and more importantly be in line with what the community wants.”

Mr Barilaro said he expects the EIS will be released very soon.
