A note from Maureen Saddleton about Hugh

“Dear Outlook readers,

News on Hugh

Life with an enthusiastic Alpha male who loves to be involved with publicity certainly brings action in vivid colour to each day!  I’m writing about my husband of 58 years – Hugh Saddleton.

Hugh’s delight in this blog remains keen and he has asked me to convey his gratitude to all readers and to contributors.  We are both in our early eighties now and slowing down so two equally keen friends of Hugh’s are currently keeping this blog both informative and thought-provoking, which we appreciate very much.

Please keep those contributions coming in!

Maureen Saddleton”

Editors note:  Hi all, over the first month since our re-launch we managed to obtain almost 700 hits on this site, which I am told by out web provider is a very good start indeed.

Given Maureen’s note above Hugh will now essentially be an ‘Emeritus Editor’ and we have agreed I will be the Editor of the blog.  I will run and edit the site with help from our great friend and fellow volunteer Rob.

As Maureen said; ‘Please keep those contributions rolling in‘.

You can do that by emailing them to mailto:[email protected]

We are ‘wide open’ as to what you want to write about and how you may author any articles so long as you can establish your identity and background to our satisfaction.

There are a multitude of stories out there in our region just waiting to be told and to be discussed!

Instructions on submitting pieces for publication can be found here on the site at https://coffscoastoutlook.com.au/about-us-faq/

If you have messages for Hugh and Maureen please use the comments facility below and I will make sure he gets them.

Grant – Editor.

  1. Thanks for all you’re doing, Grant! Hugh is indefatigable, and it’s not often the wonderful Maureen gets a chance to upstage him. Really good to see her message and know you are at the helm. Sail on and may you have fair winds!

  2. I tried to get in touch with Hugh and Maureen by phone without success. Will you please pass on my best wishes to both and we will catch up soon.
