The number of patrons allowed in local pubs will be reduced, as the New South Wales Government tries to avoid a second wave of COVID-19.
Group bookings will be limited to 10, with tougher rules about cleaning and signing into venues. The pub crackdown comes after a growing coronavirus cluster at the Crossroads Hotel in Sydney.
The Mid North Coast Local Health District says more than 20,000 tests have been conducted across the region and it’s encouraging people, even with the mildest of symptoms, such as a runny nose, scratchy throat or a cough, to get tested.
COVID-19 testing clinics are located across the region at Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Bellingen, Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga, Kempsey and Laurieton.
