Police say they’ll be out in force at pubs and clubs across regional NSW to ensure public health orders are being followed.
Operation Pariac will run for the next month with specialist licensing police and general duties officers patrolling entertainment venues.
The Coffs-Clarence Police District’s acting crime manager, Guy Flaherty says venues and patrons flouting social distancing rules will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
“I think certainly we would like a bit of common sense and a bit of respect for the lifting of these laws but most importantly to do it with a bit of tolerance and to understand that the floodgates have not opened,” he said
